Golden Era – Vintage 18k Yellow Gold Rolex Watches
Crafted in 18k yellow gold, these vintage creations hail from a bygone era yet, are perfectly suited for today's man. The Daytona 6265 , Submariner 1680 and Day-Date 6612B are all very important Rolex timepieces that could be the cornerstone of any watch enthusiast's collection.

The Daytona 6265 in 18k yellow gold circa 1987 checks off all the boxes as an important collector's piece. It's a vintage Daytona – a very sought after collection. It's a 6265 – a highly coveted reference. And it's constructed from 18k yellow gold – an exceptionally rare find. In fact, less than 10% of all Daytona 6263 and 6265 models were ever made in yellow gold during its 20-year run.

The 6265 is powered by the manual-winding Caliber 727 movement, a certified chronometer as seen by the “Superlative Chronometer Officially Certified” label on the dial.
Aside from being a very rare and important watch in a Rolex collection, it's a beauty to wear. The three black sub-dials are a striking contrast to the full yellow gold Oyster case, bezel and riveted Oyster bracelet. A luxury vintage sports watch like no other.

Submariner 1680

Diving onto the scene in the mid 60s, the Submariner 1680 was the first reference from the Sub family to feature a date function and Rolex's iconic Cyclops lens and is now considered a vintage classic.
The centerpiece of this particular 18k yellow gold Submariner 1680 circa 1978 is its dial. The original tropical dial has aged beautifully into a vibrant violet hue and features the rare “nipple” hour-markers. Complementing the arresting dial is the original blue insert on the rotatable bezel that sits upon the 40mm yellow gold Oyster case.

Within the case is the automatic movement, Rolex Caliber 1570, a certified chronometer and thanks to the case and crown construction, it's waterproof to a depth of 660 feet. The Rolex Submariner 1680 is finished off with a yellow gold three-piece links Oyster bracelet and is a very fine example of a vintage luxury diving watch.

Day-Date 6612
Affectionately known as the “Presidents'” watch, the original Day-Date was unveiled in 1956 as the first wristwatch to present the day written in full in addition to the date, and it is considered the ultimate status symbol.

The Day-Date 6612 circa 1960 is an early version of the President and boasts a rare smooth bezel rather than the more standard fluted bezel found in the Day-Date collection. The overall look of the watch is elegantly luxurious with its clean silver dial accented with gold Dauphine hands, gold baton hour-markers and day and date windows, placed at 12 o'clock and 3 o'clock respectively. The tasteful 36mm sized Oyster case of the vintage 6612 is presented on a yellow gold Jubilee bracelet. An ultra prestigious Rolex that stands the test of time.
